Vacancy for Charge Nurse (Labour Ward & Nursery) at Columbia Asia

Responsibilities

Direct and supervise overall operation of nursing at designated area of care
Conduct regular ward round (antenatal and/or post natal patient warded in MD ward)
Work closely with nursing team (NSs/CNs/CE/ICN/CNS) consultants and collaborate with other department (ancillary services)
Responsible for the safety standards of the unit to deliver safe and quality care to patient
Ensure the Policy & Procedure are communicated, understood correctly applied by staff
Plan work assignment as schedule to ensure adequate staffing for the unit
Generate monthly report and provide unit census to the CNS
Plan and recommend annual unit budget
Review and inform CNS regarding nursing unit problem and needs, recommending changes in the Policy & Procedure

Requirements

Possess post basic qualification or relevant experience
Possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate
Registered with Malaysia Nursing Board and Malaysia Midwife Board
Possess good leadership, negotiation, communication, interpersonal skills and good judgement
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
